BH Associates™ Case Study
Large-scale Need for Call Center and Housing Specialists During COVID-19 Pandemic
Challenge
In December 2021, our client, a woman-owned consulting firm in California that partners with many local housing and urban development authorities nationwide, including within the public sector, was selected by several States to support their Emergency Rental Assistance Programs (ERAP) to help those who, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, were facing eviction when they could not pay their rent. Our successful, ten-year partnership gave our client the confidence to partner with us on this important initiative, leveraging our proven high-volume recruitment process to secure top talent in a competitive market.
Recognizing the urgent need to staff hundreds of long-term call center, clerical, and data management contractors, our client felt further empowered to turn to Beacon Hill Associates, specifically in a market where this talent was in high demand nationally.
Solution
We hit the ground running to present and place contractors to support our client’s needs across each of their uniquely regulated projects. The largest project we supported required more than 525 call center and administrative contractors starting within three weeks. Another project required more than sixty contractors within forty-eight hours, and yet another required more than 200 contractors with less than a week’s notice.
Between December 2021 and January 2023, our client sent us 3,750 requests. We placed call center and administrative contracts in 93 percent of these roles, a testament to our efficiency and speed.
Achievements
Given the urgent, quick-turn, high-volume nature of these projects, we aimed to fill a request within forty-eight hours of receipt, a goal we consistently achieved. This also positioned us to be able to quickly staff replacements, as needed, each week.
Our business can be unpredictable, and Beacon Hill always finds a solution for us and meets our needs with little advance notice.
