Placing Experts to Support the Implementation of ITDS Beaker
CHALLENGE
Our client, (Legacy) SCL Health, strategically decided to implement a new Laboratory Information System (LIS). They aimed to move from the Sunquest LIS to Epic’s Beaker LIS. The project also included a specimen collection module called Epic Rover.
This client’s pathology partners planned to transition to Epic’s AP module from Anatomic Pathology (AP) systems, some Sunquest, and other homegrown systems.
This client needed to complete this project across multiple locations within only three months. Given our successful partnership, they felt confident engaging us for this project.
SOLUTION
Our team quickly identified and placed over twenty experts in ten locations across three regions.
Beacon Hill also developed a project deployment plan for Transitional Readiness Assessments (TRA) in each SCL Health facility. These assessments, led by each respective site leader, verified that the facilities were fully prepared for deploying our resources.
Under our project plan, our talent deployed desktop computers and printers, as well as tested workstations, printers, and peripherals in preparation for full-scale testing and activation. In some cases, our talent also provided desktop support as a backfill for SCL analysts.
Achievements
