Managed Services Project Supports Data Mapping and Management During Acquisition-driven Growth​

Challenge

A nationwide Fortune 500 multiple system operators (MSO) organization faced a significant challenge. The client had acquired two nationwide carriers, adding over two million customers, thus positioning themselves as one of the largest MSO companies nationwide. This acquisition created the need to identify the new market’s expansion in support of merging the billing operations data into a single platform. ​

The scope of the project was substantial. It initially consisted of running multiple platforms and mapping customer data to new codes to be merged into one billing platform—combined, the databases included over twenty-five million customers.​

Solution

Beacon Hill Technologies successfully delivered and scaled a team of fifteen consultants over twelve months to identify the data records and add new records to support the acquired markets and over twenty-five million customers. We used multiple platforms and mapped our client’s customer data to new codes for one billing platform. The project spanned business operations and IT groups, including billing and system analysts with programming and data management tools expertise.​

Achievements

Following the project’s completion, two of our consultants were converted to full-time equivalents (FTE) and continue to work on identifying and merging new states and markets for the client.​
