Challenge

In 2004, our company was only four years old. We had been diligently building our portfolio of clients, and we had identified a prominent private equity firm headquartered in Boston that aligned with our values and growth plans.

Through attentive conversations, Beacon Hill Associates learned this association was unhappy with the caliber of candidates for their permanent administrative positions, namely executive assistants, that their current suppliers were presenting. Confident in our abilities, we knew that we could achieve longer tenure with the quality of our candidates and that we’d also be able to do so quickly.

Solution

We presented direct hire candidates for their administrative roles, including primarily executive assistants, as well as investor relations coordinators, receptionists, travel managers, financial administrators, and more. With the first request we received, we worked directly with the association’s talent acquisition team to thoroughly understand the unique requirements of the role and the nuances of the team. Our commitment to understanding and fulfilling unique requirements has been a cornerstone of our success.

From there, we applied our earned knowledge of the association’s cultural needs, and we began identifying the best candidates from our internal database of prequalified candidates and our referral network.

Achievements

By treating each requisition uniquely, we’re proud to share that Beacon Hill Associates has placed more than 150 direct hires in Boston-based executive assistant and administrative roles since 2004. Because of our success in supporting these positions, we’ve earned true champions within this association. Our long-term success and the trust we’ve built have led to referrals for positions beyond executive assistants and administrative roles. Today, our sister specialty divisions, including Beacon Hill Financial and Beacon Hill HR, have placed more than 100 other direct hire, Boston-based positions, and our contract placement teams also support this client.

Even with the natural turnover on our client’s leadership team, the contacts we built relationships with within the association continue to work with us at their new employers.

In 2013, our client asked us to present the on-the-ground market trends our teams saw regarding compensation, benefits, retention, and more. We’re pleased to share that Beacon Hill Associates has presented on these trends every year since and is now a trusted consulting partner.
