BH Technologies™ Case Study

Sourcing, Vetting, and Onboarding a Project Team for Our Long-term Healthcare Client’s Large Medical Center Relocation Project

Challenge

One of the largest healthcare networks in the western United States, and a client of ours since 2018, reached out to Beacon Hill Technologies in April 2024 to take full ownership of deploying all IT infrastructure in a brand new, 226-bed, 650,000-square-foot hospital built from the ground up. This included IT workstation setups, Workstations on Wheels (WOWs), label readers, cabling, power stations, and additional equipment meant for use by corporate employees, healthcare providers, and even patients.

Solution

Enacting our managed services solution,   within forty-eight hours, we identified an average of three candidates for each position on what we planned to be a thirty-person team. We vetted, onboarded, and managed our team of thirty dedicated transitional technology support technicians and lead transitional technology support technicians to manage this project for our client in three phases:

  • Phase One | Deployment — This included all IT infrastructure installations that impacted healthcare providers, patients, and corporate employees.
  • Phase Two | Ticketing Support and Troubleshooting — Beacon Hill Technologies provided a single contact to provide technical support and handle scheduling delegation twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Additionally, we enacted shift pay differentials regarding overtime, swing, weekend, and overnight hours, etc.
  • Phase 3 | Decommission — Our team was solely responsible for the teardown, recycling, vendor management, and re-distribution of the existing IT infrastructure within our client’s former hospital that was being decommissioned.

Achievements

Our project team successfully completed all three phases for our client in September 2024. Further, we maintained our agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs) for completing all tickets!

Our commitment to this client allowed us to successfully complete this project for them and has continued to showcase us as one of their most trusted partners. Beyond this project, we have placed nearly 200 consultants—of whom our client converted many to internal full-time equivalents (FTEs)—and more than twenty-five full-time direct employees.
