Technical Experts Support General Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering Pilot Program
Challenge
This American financial services company, which has platforms for the public and private sectors on its financial platforms, had worked with a competitor for several years. However, while the company was pleased with the offshore services, it recognized in late 2023 that the onshore services left much to be desired. Our competitor presented candidates lacking the necessary skills and credentials at rates higher than budgeted.
As an existing partner to this financial services company since early 2023, we learned about this opportunity through general conversations with the hiring managers we supported with staff augmentation solutions for statement of work (SOW) projects. Given our strong partnership in that area, we asked for the opportunity to compete with their existing supplier for onshore placements. Our client gave us this opportunity with the understanding that they expected us to outperform our competitor and that we’d bring in new candidates, provide and use market intelligence to qualify their needs, write job descriptions, and source and present talent.
Specifically, our client asked us to support a high-priority project focused on incorporating AI (artificial intelligence) into their platforms. Our client had many concerns about integrating AI into their platforms, including state and international restrictions, internal browser restrictions, cloud breaches, etc. Their goal was for our consultants to create case studies proving the value of AI, and to get the projects fully governed, approved, and invested in by their internal governance community.
For this project, we were asked to present back-end developer AI engineer candidates to test and build use cases that proved incorporating AI into their platforms would be more beneficial than manually inputting data. Additionally, these use cases needed to display data in a better way, with an emphasis on visual storytelling vs. bulk numbers and narratives.
Solution
We have twelve engagements supporting mission-critical initiatives for our client’s investment, client experience, and enterprise data groups. We’ve placed skills around end-to-end development, such as full-stack development with a modern technology stack, python data engineers, AI engineers, technical product management, UX/UI design work, and more. We are pleased to share that we responded to all requisitions by presenting between two and five candidates for each request.
